The Boudoir Experience
I’m willing to bet that for the vast majority of you, when you hear the word boudoir, your mind instantly jumps to images of young, lingerie-clad women with perfect bodies, dewy skin, uber-confidence, and the sex appeal of Marilyn Monroe. If that describes you, absolutely ROCK IT sister, but that’s not what boudoir photography is about. These sessions are less about what you look like and ALL about how you feel inside. They are about allowing yourself to stop the comparisons, self-judgements, and societal expectations, and be vulnerable with someone (yours truly) who will hold your space safely. You are beautiful – even with breasts that have nursed 3 babies and a few extra curves – embrace it. Boudoir photography is about empowering women to celebrate themselves and reconnecting with your divine femininity, in whatever way that feels comfortable to you.
I believe strongly in the healing power of these sessions. It sounds cliche, but it’s truth…think of it like a therapy session but way more fun (and probably with wine!). My goal for you is to come away from your session totally lit up, inspired, awakened, transformed, and with more self-love and acceptance. You deserve it.

The Process
So what’s next?
BOOK YOUR DATE Once you’ve decided that you’re ready to take one more step towards an even more powerful version of you, the first thing to do is book your date, pay your retainer ($200 is due to hold the date, the remaining balance is due at the session*payment plans are available*), and schedule a consultation.
THE CONSULTATION This is a time for us to get to know each other a bit and to create an intention for your session. We will talk about what makes you feel inspired, when you feel your best, what fears you have, and your ultimate goals for our work together. Once we have an idea for the vibe of your session we can plan what outfits will work best and the location that will be best suited for your vision. Please note that there is no pressure for you to go out and buy lingerie or get naked if that’s not your jam. If you feel most confident in a t-shirt and jeans we can rock that too. If you’re on the fence and aren’t really sure how much skin you can show, we will just go with the flow and see what happens. Your comfort is my priority and I want each session to be completely tailored to you (but you’ll probably lose the inhibitions by the end- just sayin’).
YOUR SESSION You’ll arrive at the studio and enjoy a mimosa or some bubbly while getting pampered by an amazingly talented hair and makeup artist from the talented staff at Blush Beauty Bar. I have the utmost faith in them and you can tell them exactly the look you are going for. Afterwards, we’ll take a look at the outfits you brought and talk about your faves – and then it’s ON! I know it takes some times to feel comfortable in front of a camera so we will take our time and I will talk you through everything so you don’t need to think about anything other than your awesomeness. I talk a lot during sessions and am a pretty open book so don’t be surprised if we get deep. I told ya- it’s like therapy in the best way possible.
AFTER THE SESSION After your shoot, we will schedule a day for you to come back for your image reveal and purchasing session. If it’s too hard for you to come back to the studio we can set up a time to Skype or have an online ordering appointment, but it’s more fun to do it in person. All the images can be overwhelming so going through them together helps you to narrow down how you want to display your images. Once you’ve made your decision, we begin working on creating your finished products so you can look back on them for years to come and remember how incredible you felt the day of your session.
